This recipe is totally delicious and a perfect to make when your vegan friends come over this summer.

Ingredients1 pound tempeh, cut into 4 square patties 2 tbsp The Classic Spice Mix 2 tbsp water 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil 4 crusty rolls, halved Veganaise Toppings: Avocado Tomato Onions Pickles |

Instructions:Place tempeh patties into a shallow dish and mix with water and spice mix, turning to coat. Set aside. Coat grill with cooking oil and heat to medium high. Alternatively, heat oven to 400°F. Remove tempeh from dish and place on grill or bake right in the dish. Grill until dark grill marks appear, turning once, about 10 minutes total. If baking, bake for 20 minutes, turning once. Place rolls on grill with bottom half placed cut side down, and top half cut side up. Close grill and toast rolls until cheese has melted. Remove from heat. Spread Veganaise on bun. Top tempeh with your favourite vegan toppings on top half of roll. Serve with more BBQ sauce, if desired. |
