A breast cancer diagnosis wasn’t enough to stop Amelia Kirchoff, or her daughter Jola. After the diagnosis, the pair bonded together to create a macrobiotic, plant-based diet that would help Amelia through the fight ahead. During the battle, they created the MacroBar in the kitchen of their Wisconsin family farm. After Amelia beat cancer, the MacroBar would go on to become one of the first products they released when they founded their company, GoMacro. Today, the family-owned company continues to promote a healthy, sustainable lifestyle, and GoMacro has continued to produce top-selling, plant-based nutrition bars. While the team is much larger, the fight and passion for life that joined Amelia and Jola together all of those years ago remains strong.
